I took the Handgun 201 with 3 other gentleman. Chris was a great teacher. No fluff. Told us what we were doing wrong and gave us multiple ways to fix the problem in a way that would work the best for us. I learned way more from this class than I expected and had a great time doing it. I will definitely be going back for Handgun 301 as well as other classes. If you are looking for great firearms training, you need to go see Chris

I highly recommend SCGS to anyone new or experienced with guns/shooting. The instructor (and owner) Chris is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I’ve always wanted to carry a gun but was always intimidated. I had my concealed weapons license in Florida but rarely carried as I was afraid to and quite frankly, I wasn’t as knowledgeable about the gun itself. Yesterday my family and I took Chris’s class and I ( and my family)left not only feeling secure with our decision to carry, but with a good understanding of the laws in South Carolina. We were taught the proper stance, how to hold and load the gun properly and then went to the range to shoot safely. I was so impressed by Chris’s at ease instruction and the knowledge he was willing to share with us, I plan on taking a few more classes.
